Another New Years Resolution, Again.

Disclaimer: This post is really just me thinking aloud.

I can’t help it. I’m always so hyper getting into a new year. The whole fresh slate thing makes me so excited and I feel like I can take on the world. Until it’s the second week of January and I’m overwhelmed and exhausted from trying to keep up.

A lot of the time, I barely even remember the resolutions I make. I’m trying to think about what I promised myself last year and I cannot make out a single commitment I kept from the resolutions.

Before you go thinking I’m some brainbox about to give you tips and insights on how you can kickass this year, you’re really going to have to drop those expectations. I’m just ranting here.

I mean are you going to take advice from someone who is just sending out her first medium post, almost two years after creating an account?

That’s true. My blog domain also expired. Oh God.

I’m going to be using Medium for a while.

The Master Plan

So here’s the thing. I found a loophole. I am making a grand resolution this year that’ll encompass so many others. Wait for it………….

One SMART Goal a week. That’s my resolution. One grand achievable and realistic goal I’ll set each week.

This way, I’ll be killing 52 birds with one stone. I’m so smart.

Before you start dragging me every week, I’ll like to clearly state that these goals might span across various sectors. They could be professional development, social engagements, things revolving around my passion or just plain vanity.

So if my goal for a week is to look hot, please don’t fight me.

The Goal for Week 1

So this week, I chose to write about something that isn’t work-related. I love writing about marketing and products but sometimes I really just want to pen down nonsense.

This week is all about that.

And so, I decided that my goal for the week is opening this side of me again.

The SMART goal here is reactivating my medium account and turning it into a dumping site for these goals.

I will be professional on some days and really insightful too. But today, it’s all vibes.

Does anyone want to join me in yet another attempt? Anyone?
